Trust me on this one, having two first names can be confusing, luckily, the fighter pilot tradition is to give each fighter pilot his or her own unique call sign. So, please, to avoid any confusion, just call me “Opus,” trust me, it’s just easier!
Why “Opus?”
I get that question all the time! I can tell you two things about my call sign:
1) There is a great story behind “Opus;” and
2) Hire me and I will tell you!
I am a combat fighter pilot, leadership consultant, and author of the business leadership book, SCRAMBLED, 10 Year Edition. I have cheated death for over 3,000 hours in the F-15 and F-111 fighter jets. (copy the hyperbole?!)
Before writing my leadership book, I co-founded Fighter Associates, a leadership consulting group. I did leadership consulting, leadership training and corporate team building for some of the largest (and smallest) companies in the country. But hey, don’t take my word for it; see what my clients have to say about my services.
My resume includes being the Chief Strategy Officer for the Zulu Capital Group and then the Vice President of Worldwide Business Development at Lucid Government Solutions. Currently, I am still writing and happy to be a special leadership consultant to an amazing Social Media Marketing Firm – onlinesmallbizcoach.com. You should check it out, and PLEASE, “like” them on Facebook asap to help me stiff arm President, Mark Aylward asking me “why didn’t you tell everyone to like our page??” I also fly for one of the world’s largest civilian airline companies. I still serve my country at the Chief of Combat Operations for the 102d Air Operations Group at Otis Air National Guard Base on Cape Cod.
When I’m not working, you can find me volunteering at Pope John Paul II High School in Hyannis, Massachusetts, where my son is a sophomore. My other son will be a freshman at Salve Regina University and is in the 2015 graduating class. I also love sports, and would mention my favorite teams here, but was advised not to because, “It could offend a potential client,” Really? Lol! I ran the Boston Marathon last year, but, no; I don’t consider myself a “runner.”
I am a thought expert on leadership and a sought after public speaker. My experience in extremely high pressure situations and the tools I have developed to thrive in these situations resonates with America’s best and brightest business leaders and I guarantee will deliver quantifiable results!
